Study overview

Wright County is leading a transportation study on Hwy 55 from the intersection of Arrowhead Drive (County Road 118) in the City of Medina to the intersection of County Road 19 in the City of Corcoran. The study will complete a corridor evaluation, environmental review and preliminary design work on an approximately four-mile segment of Hwy 55.

Study goals:

  • Understand issues and opportunities for improvements along the corridor. through community engagement and technical analysis.
  • Develop purpose and need statement based on the issues identified.
  • Identify feasible alternatives that prioritize the current and future. transportation needs of all users and communities.
  • Evaluate alternatives and recommend an alternative/alternatives.
  • Coordinate with local partners and engage with the community to inform the development of the range of alternatives and recommended alternatives.
